Apparently he saw the team leader with a flat needing a wheel or a (not Shimano) bike
But a photo from a different angle reveals... more. When interviewed he ingeniously replied:
"Pogacar may have sprinted with a flat tire and that is why he lost the race to Wout" - Pro level subject redirect answer!
